Better paper, made from 100% recycled fibre.
Sapphire Papers Mill manufactures writing, printing and newsprint paper for East India and Bhutan — combining consistent quality with a genuine commitment to the environment.
A paper mill rooted in the growth of Northeast India
Based in Bidhan Nagar in the Darjeeling district of West Bengal, Sapphire Papers Mill has grown from strength to strength since 2005. We manufacture writing, printing and newsprint paper entirely from recycled fibre — proof that quality and sustainability go hand in hand.
As literacy rises and the region grows, so does the need for dependable, affordable paper. We see ourselves as facilitators of that growth — for schools, publishers, printers and businesses across the Northeast.

Dependable everyday paper for rough notebooks, challans and pamphlets.
Super Print
Blue-white shade with excellent formation — made for notebooks.
Super Gold
Good printability for single-colour book printing and computer stationery.
Super Diamond
Our brightest grade — premium finish for demanding print jobs.
Paper that protects what it comes from
Every tonne of Sapphire paper starts life as recovered paper, not felled trees. Recycling is not a slogan for us — it is our entire raw-material supply chain.
100% recycled fibre
Our writing, printing and newsprint papers are made entirely from recovered paper, giving waste a productive second life.
Lower environmental impact
We have taken deliberate measures across the mill to reduce the environmental footprint of manufacturing.
Invested in our community
Beyond employing 400+ people, we support social causes in our region including Maatri Chhaya and Maharaja Agrasen Hospital.
A distribution network across East India
From our mill in Siliguri, trusted distributors carry Sapphire paper across East India and into Bhutan.
